Peyton Bowen’s tenure as an Oregon commit lasted just one day.
The five-star safety, who flipped commitments from Notre Dame to Oregon on Wednesday, changed course again and signed with Oklahoma on Thursday.
Bowen was one of four players the Ducks flipped on Wednesday and the three others and 26 other players all signed with UO, including safeties Kodi Decambra and Tyler Turner. The Ducks have just one outstanding commitment from junior college offensive lineman George Silva in its class, which dropped from No. 7 to No. 11 in the 247Sports rankings and No. 10 when accounting for transfers.
The 6-foot, 185-pound Bowen is the No. 2 safety and No. 14 overall prospect in this year’s recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite. While brief, he is the third player to decommit from Oregon in this year’s class, joining Dante Moore and Caleb Presley.
