With Will Wade’s firing at LSU, it is time for the Tigers to look for a new head coach. Despite being successful, Wade was fired amid several alleged NCAA rules violations and now the Tigers must clean up the mess. CBS Sports provided an interesting list of coaching candidates that could fill the vacancy with instant success.
Pete Thamel shared the notice of allegations (NOA) in question following Wade’s firing. Among several entries involving Wade, the NOA notes that Wade committed “multiple” Level 1 violations, which are the NCAA’s most severe.
The NOA also points out that Wade “failed to cooperate in the investigation, attempted to conceal violations and obstructed the investigation.” Wade also violated several principles of ethical conduct and the NCAA found that violations were deliberate and made after “substantial” planning.
Now, LSU might go after a big-name replacement if possible, since there are several on this list.
