Super Bowl victory “tastes pretty damn good” to Sean McVay and his fiancée, Veronika Khomyn.
Hours after McVay coached the Rams to a Super Bowl win over the Bengals, Khomyn posted a celebratory message on Instagram, praising her husband-to-be.
“I’ve seen this guy grind nonstop. Day in and day out. No breaks. He always puts everyone else first, and winning this Lombardi trophy for his team, his family, his friends… is a dream come true!!! I love you babe, you deserve this times a million. Victory tastes pretty damn good!” she captioned Monday’s post.
McVay’s Rams stormed back in the fourth quarter to defeat the Bengals, 23-20. As the postgame festivities got rolling, McVay asked for a beer before chatting on NFL Network.
“It feels outstanding,” McVay said of the Rams’ win. “You talk about a resilient team — coaches, players — I’m just so proud of this group. For the offense to find a way, and then Aaron [Donald, Rams defensive lineman,] to be able to finish it off, it’s poetic, man.”
At the age of 36, McVay is now the youngest coach to ever win a Super Bowl. Although there have been questions about his future, as he and Khomyn are set to tie the knot, McVay said he isn’t walking away from the game just yet.
“I’m so happy for this team right now. So happy to be associated with it. We’re going to enjoy tonight. I’m not going to remember any of it,” he said following the big win.
Prior to kickoff Sunday, McVay enjoyed a sweet moment on the field at SoFi Stadium with Khomyn, a luxury real estate whom he’s been engaged to since 2019.
For the big game, Khomyn sported a black leather blazer with McVay written in rhinestones on the back.
