With the best-of-season 2021 World Series tied at 1-1, the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves are set to play Game 3 in Truist Park -- home of the Braves -- on Friday night. Leading up to first pitch (shortly after 8 p.m. ET), the forecast for Atlanta and environs is a bit spotty. Here's what you need to know and how to watch.
Temps will be in the low 50s at game time, and some rain is in the forecast. Here's the visual summary via Atlanta's CBS 46:
Fortunately, rain is expected to be on the light side. As long as that holds, they should be able to play Game 3 without interruption, but the situation is of course fluid and bears monitoring.
Light rain is also in the early forecast for Game 4 on Saturday night. The planned travel day on Monday following Game 5 does provide some flexibility in terms of a potential makeup date, but right now that looks like it won't be necessary.
Unlike Minute Maid Park, home of the Astros and host of Games 1 and 2 (and Games 6 and 7, if necessary), Truist Park does not have a retractable roof and is thus subject to the elements.
