Ravens CB Marcus Peters, RB Gus Edwards suffer season-ending injuries: Source - The Athletic

The run of bad luck for the Baltimore Ravens has continued as cornerback Marcus Peters and running back Gus Edwards suffered season-ending torn ACLs, a source confirmed to The Athletic. The injuries happened a short time apart, leading the Ravens to stop practice early.

The Ravens already have lost starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) and backup Justice Hill (Achilles) to season-ending injuries, prompting the team to sign Le'Veon Bell to the practice squad. Coach John Harbaugh had said even before Thursday's practice that there was a chance Bell could play Monday night at Las Vegas due to the team's lack of depth in the backfield.

Losing Peters, a two-time first team All Pro, is an even bigger hit for the Ravens. Peters led Baltimore with four interceptions last season to go along with four forced fumbles, two recoveries and nine passes defended.

Later on Thursday, Baltimore signed veteran free-agent running back Devonta Freeman to its practice squad, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed to The Athletic. The Ravens are also working on finalizing a deal with free-agent running back Latavious Murray, per sources.
