UNCASVILLE, Conn. – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Thursday’s official Bellator 255 fighter weigh-ins, where the main card fighters hit their marks for Frida’s card.

In the main event, lightweight and featherweight champion Patricio Freire (31-4 MMA, 19-4 BMMA), puts his 145-pound title on the line in a rematch against Emmanuel Sanchez (20-4 MMA, 12-3 BMMA). Both fighters came in under the championship mark.

Freire was 144.1 pounds. Sanchez weighed in at 144.5.That fight also is a semifinal bout in Bellator’s ongoing featherweight tournament. The winner will move on to the final to meet A.J. McKee.

Three fighters on the preliminary cardd missed their marks. Mukhamed Berkhamov missed weight by 2.8 pounds for his middleweight fight against Herman Terrado. Subsequently, that fight was pulled from the lineup due to Berkhamov’s miss.

The final two fighters to weigh in came in heavy, as well. Fabio Aguiar was above the middleweight limit at 187.7. As the weigh-in clock expired, Roman Faraldo was 171.1 pounds, just 0.1 pounds over the welterweight limit.

The weigh-ins took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The same venue hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on Showtime and MMA Junkie following prelims on MMA Junkie.
