Despite many experts predicting otherwise, Michigan was the betting favorite to reach the Final Four at the start of the NCAA Tournament. That hasn’t changed entering Tuesday’s Elite Eight matchup with UCLA.
Michigan is a 7.5-point favorite over UCLA.
The Wolverines are the No. 1 seed in the East Region. They beat Texas Southern by 16 and LSU by eight in the first two rounds. On Sunday night, they smacked Florida State 76-58.
UCLA, the 11 seed, beat Michigan State in a play-in game before topping BYU, Abilene Christian, and Alabama. The Bruins needed overtime to escape Michigan State and Alabama.

Michigan and UCLA will play Tuesday at 9:57 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. They have two common opponents this season: Michigan State, against which Michigan split the regular-season series, and Ohio State. UCLA lost by seven to the Buckeyes in December. Michigan beat them in February but lost in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
Oddsmakers have set the total, or over-under, for Tuesday’s matchup at 136 points. The moneyline is set at Michigan -345, meaning bettors would have to risk $345 to win $100 in profit.
